I will before I do

Well, the time has finally come.  The Lord has answered a long time prayer of mine.  I am ENGAGED to be MARRIED!  It's finally here!  It's real!  I feel the Lord has been preparing both Kenneth and my hearts for marriage.  To have a household, to lead a household.  It's a scary feeling, but it's God's plan.  What God has in store for us is so much bigger than ourselves.  All I want is more.  Not more for me, but more of all that God has planned for me.

There are a lot of encouraging verses throughout the Bible supporting God's intended purpose for marriage.  I know that it's easier said than done.  Be humble, encouraging, tender, and accepting.  All very pretty and kind words, but what about those days where you just can't?  That long 14 hour day of complaint after complaint, and your nerves just kick in?  Those are the days I need Jesus the most.

MATTHEW 19:4-6
MARK 10: 6-9
GENESIS 2:24-25

I am excited for a wedding, but more excited for the marriage.  Jesus being our 3rd cord in our knot, leaving it untie-able.  Is that a word???

These next few months are going to be so exciting.  God has put Kenneth in my life for a reason - and I'm going to leave it up to Him to reveal to me the good things every day of why.

As I let out a deep sigh, and a slight smile - I am reminded of all of the days I've spent praying and searching for this point in my life.  And now it's here.  What can I say?  The Lord is really good.  No, like really good to me.
