Hey everyone! So, Kenneth was asked to come out to D.C. for work and coincidentally I requested off the same week. We had some points so we decided I could tag along! Man oh man is it HUMID out here! Thank goodness I've experienced this before when we went to New Orleans. At least there's some sort of a breeze. Since Kenneth was at work today I figure I do some things that are free and near our hotel. I hit up the Renwick Gallery which is a free small museum about 2 blocks down from the White House. I got some pretty good shots early enough in the day where it wasn't crowded with tourists.
Here's my rant...one of the things I love about San Francisco is the amount of cafes, coffee shops. work centers that are readily available. I went to 3 different cafes which either did not have wifi, seating, or outlets. Although where we are staying is sort of like the Financial District in SF - everyone wearing suits in this ridiculous weather. I tried to avoid it - but Starbucks was the ONLY place that could accommodate my needs!
Nevertheless, I digress. D.C. has some really awesome architecture. My photographer's eye is having a field day. Trying to hit different angles, and really get out of my comfort zone. I haven't had a day of just shooting, reflection, devotion, and relaxation in awhile. Cherishing every moment, spending time with Jesus and getting to know Him more and more everyday.
Can't wait to see what else D.C. has in store for me....
